I am a person who is just as much of a self-starter as the next person. I’m a sucker for a good challenge, and the idea of setting myself a goal to achieve, even if it’s just to lose weight, has always been a little bit of a challenge for me. That’s why I’m so excited to show you how I lost 25 pounds in three months through a very simple diet and a lot of self-talk.
I’m sure anyone who follows the right blog will probably know that I’m a self-improvement junkie. It’s kind of a catch-all for me, because the word “improvement” can be used to mean so many different things. I’m not saying that I’m particularly smart, or that I’m not going to screw up, or that I’m going to be a huge pain in the ass.
Im not saying that either. Im saying that if I could write a blog post every day that said, “I lost 25 pounds in three months,” I’d be a lot happier.
I think the key to self-improvement is to not be worried about what you’re going to do, how you’re going to do it, and the methods you’re going to use to do it.

You could definitely be thinking about what you’re going to do, but if you’re really concerned about what you’re going to do, and you’re still going to do it and have done it, you could be really concerned about what you’re going to do, too.
The thing is, self-improvement is not about what youre going to do or how youre going to do it. It’s about what youre doing now, what youre thinking about right now, and what youre doing in the future. It’s about being in the here and now.
So if that sounds like a lot to think about, well that’s because it is. The whole concept is that we’re not really doing anything in the here and now. We’re thinking about things that we should be thinking about, or maybe we think about things that we should be thinking about, and then we go and do them.
It sounds like lots to think about. It is. The problem is that the more you think about it, the more you forget what youre doing. We have all sorts of things going on in our lives that we should be thinking about. We should be taking a shower, or eating lunch, or talking to someone that we care about. But when we do these things that we think we should be thinking about, it seems to take them away from the rest of our lives.
The other thing you should be doing is to change your habits. It sounds like the first step has become a habit. But I think it’s important to remember where you were when you went to college or started your own business. And then you’re in a new place that you don’t know about. It’s a way to stop thinking about what you’re doing and get your act together.
