I’ve been working with you for about three years now and have been fortunate enough to grow exponentially as a result. While I have been a very hands-on teacher and a mentor to a few of you, I am not here to tell you what to do. I am here to tell you what works.
That said, i am not asking you to follow my ideas or to take my words as being from a superior source. I’m not asking you to be a slave to any method. I’m just asking you to do what works for you. In this particular case, I think it is important to note that I am not trying to force you to do something that is out of your range of expertise. I am just asking you to try something that interests you, the way a good person does.
Tim cappello, a former director of the FBI, made this statement at the New York City Police Department’s annual conference last year. He said, “The most important thing you can do to keep this country safe is to treat all of your citizens with fairness and respect.
I was not at all convinced of cappello’s point then, but now I think it is a good one. It is important to treat each person as an individual, and I think that extends to police officers and other government employees, too. Tim’s point is that while it may be true that we can’t expect every person to be perfect, we can expect the general public to treat each other with more respect than we would a government employee.
It is a good point, and I think it has been borne out in the past. I know I cant do a good job of that for all my employees, but I can do a good job of that for those who are in police or other government departments.
It’s easy to see how this might benefit police and government employees by being more respectful, more sensitive to each other, and more aware of each others faults. However, it’s equally easy to see how this is also bad for police and government employees by putting them in a situation where they can’t really communicate.
I think the problem is that some police and government employees don’t know how to be respectful and are just rude to each other. It is actually a huge problem because these types of individuals can make the very situations they are trying to control worse. For example, I have police officers who get very upset when they think they are being rude to someone. The officers then try to justify their behavior by saying the person was just being rude.

For example, you can get arrested for disorderly conduct when you are a minor and you are trying to get your parents’ attention. Sometimes it’s just being rude and trying to get your parents’ attention. Sometimes it’s just not trying.
